I was stoked to yarn with the Koori Mail editors and discuss  my work and goals for the future. It was a true honour to be featured in an article and to act as a mentor for our younger mob. 

Here I discuss the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander STEM Professional Career Achievement Award I received at the 2021 CSIRO Indigenous STEM Awards. As a researcher in immunology and microbiology, I'm working to improve clinical care experiences for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people through cutting-edge research. This is the most fulfilling highlight of my career so far, and I plan to further his knowledge and share complex health information in an accessible way to the wider community.
