I made a website!

I finally made a website yesterday! It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time now so I wanted to pass on my experience.
The resources from @brttnytrnh (Link) were a huge help on knowing where to start. She has a great guide on different services and the pros and cons of each. As someone with no experience in web design it looks like a daunting task getting started.
I didn’t take the plunge until I saw a post about @owlstown and I decided to go with them because of two reasons, the simplicity of their design interface and because you can have an amazing academic website for free!
It didn’t take long to get it running and I was very impressed with the design. I decided to upgrade my webpage to support them, it also allowed me to use my own custom domain name for the website address.
I decided to rent the Google domain GuyCameron.me and I couldn’t be happier. I’m still actively working on adding more content so if you have any feedback about my site I’d love to hear it!
